63% of U.S. Counties Still Have 5 or Fewer COVID-19 Deaths

Even though the U.S. has seen a rapid rise in cases during the past month, the overall levels of concentration have remained fairly consistent. The five states with the most cases—New York, California, Florida, Texas, and New Jersey—report 44% of all U.S. cases and 46% of all deaths.
