Miles Pollard is an economic policy analyst at The Heritage Foundation’s Roe Institute for Economic Policy Studies, focusing on industrial policy, trade, energy, critical supply chains, and the economic foundations of a flourishing society.

His research examines U.S. reindustrialization as a function of how fiscal sustainability, energy reliability, and regulatory burdens affect sectors like maritime shipbuilding, semiconductor manufacturing, critical minerals, and household affordability. He has also written on the intersection of economic policy and strategic competition, with a focus on China’s growing global influence.

Pollard’s work has appeared in The Daily Signal, RealClearPolicy, RealClearWorld, The National Interest, The Washington Examiner, and other outlets. His research on space, cyber, and health policy has also been published in the Pepperdine Policy Review, where he served as Editor-in-Chief. He earned his Master of Public Policy from Pepperdine University, with concentrations in economic policy and national security, and holds bachelor’s degrees in economics and international studies from the University of West Florida.
