School Boards Hold the Keys to Local Education

Jul 15, 2021 1 min read

July is National Attend Your Local School Board Meeting Month!

Our local schools are where the next generation of young minds are shaped, and citizens are molded. That’s why it’s so important to safeguard students from poisonous leftist teachings, including critical race theory and transgender ideology. Whether or not you have a child in public school, as a community member, you have an interest and say in what students learn in the classroom. Local school board meetings provide you with an opportunity to make your voice heard. We must protect our children and schools from leftist indoctrination that weakens their character and instills hatred and guilt. Your voice and values can make a difference!

Your Steps to Make a Difference:

LEARN: Watch the video, Critical Race Theory: Coming to a School Near You, then read The Daily Signal article, Teachers Unions Push Critical Race Theory in Schools, Urge Defiance of State Laws Against It. Post either on one or more of your social media accounts using the hashtag #CriticalRaceTheory and #CRT. If you do not use social media, email the video or article to 5 of your friends.

SHARE: Listen to The Daily Signal podcast episode, How One Man Leads the Charge Against Woke School Boards. After listening, share with a like-minded friend and encourage them to attend their local school board meeting.

ACT: With family or friends, attend your community’s local school board meeting and share your point of view on critical race theory or another subject facing local education. Before attending, research the meeting to learn where and when it is and how to sign up to speak. Visit the Citizen Engagement Series page for more tips.

EXTRA CREDIT: Write a letter to the editor of your local newspaper describing your thoughts and perspectives on critical race theory education in your local school district.
