Local University Conservatives Network
Engaging, equipping, and connecting young conservatives for long-term success in public policy
Fall 2025 - Spring 2026
Are you a conservative college student or intern in D.C.?
Being a conservative in D.C. isn’t easy. Liberal ideology is pushed in the classroom, and debates are often shouted down on local campuses.
That’s why The Heritage Foundation created the Local University Conservatives (LUC) Network. We’re building a network of conservative college students and interns from across Washington, D.C.
Throughout the year, members of the LUC Network gather for a dinner lecture series where you will have the chance to learn from leading policy experts, discuss the most pressing policy debates, and meet other young conservatives. Apply today!
Why join the LUC Network?
- Learn from and interact with leading policy experts.
- Enjoy free dinner at The Heritage Foundation.
- Build community with fellow conservative college students & interns.
- Get connected with The Heritage Foundation and kickstart your career. Many standout members of the LUC Network go on to join Heritage’s Young Leaders Program.
Who should apply?
We’re looking for conservative interns and college students from across Washington, D.C. Whether you are interning for a semester or studying at a D.C.-area college, you can apply to join the LUC Network.
