Alyene Senger researched and wrote about the Affordable Care Act, Medicare, and conservative solutions to health care challenges as a policy analyst in The Heritage Foundation’s Center for Health Policy Studies.

Senger had recently returned to Heritage after serving as a legislative assistant in the office of U.S. Sen. Ben Sasse, R-Neb. 

Her commentary and analysis on Obamacare and other topics have appeared in or been cited by media organization such as The Washington Times, The Washington Examiner,National Review Online, and Real Clear Politics, among others. She also regularly weighs in on health policy matters as a guest on radio and television shows.

Senger, who first joined Heritage in 2012 as a research assistant, received her bachelor’s degree in political science from Kent State University in Ohio. She currently resides in Washington.
