WASHINGTON—The Heritage Foundation today named Price Harding as the newest member of its Board of Trustees. Harding is the chairman of CarterBaldwin, one of the largest and most successful executive search firms in the United States.

Over his 30-year executive search career, Harding has been principal consultant on more than 1,000 successfully completed recruiting engagements for leaders, officers, and directors for privately held and publicly traded companies.

“The Heritage Board of Trustees was already a strong group of leaders, and the addition of Price Harding makes the board that much stronger,” said Kay C. James, president of The Heritage Foundation. “Not only is he a well-known leader himself, Price has helped the conservative movement identify outstanding leaders for some of the most influential organizations, including Heritage, for many years.”

Harding co-leads CarterBaldwin’s rapidly growing university and nonprofit search practice. Prior to entering the recruitment industry, Harding served as director of operations for an equipment manufacturing company.

“It is an honor and a pleasure to welcome my friend Price Harding to the Board of Trustees,” said Barb Van Andel-Gaby, chairman of The Heritage Foundation Board of Trustees. “The quality of Price’s character and the excellence of his work—both of which I know from first-hand experience—make him a natural fit and crucial voice for the movement and for the moment.”

Harding is an avid angel investor and serves on multiple private company boards and on the board of Trinity Forum. His articles have appeared in various publications and he has been quoted in INC Magazine, The Wall Street Journal, Atlanta Business Chronicle, and numerous industry and trade magazines.

“The Heritage Foundation continues to bring significant thought leadership to the most critical policies and decisions of our time,” said Harding. “Supporting that work as a trustee is a responsibility and a privilege for which I am truly grateful.”

Harding received his bachelors in theology from Baptist University of America, and conducted masters-level studies in pastoral counseling at Temple Baptist Seminary in Chattanooga. Harding and his wife, Nancy, have two married daughters and live in Atlanta, where they attend Buckhead Church.

The Heritage Foundation is the nation’s most broadly supported public policy research institute, with more than a half-million members. Founded in 1973, it develops and promotes public policy solutions that advance free enterprise, limited government, individual freedom, traditional values and a strong national defense.
