  • The Office of the Solicitor General (OSG) oversees all civil appeals from all divisions of the Office of the Attorney General. Many of the cases in which the OSG is most heavily involved deal with pressing social issues of our day (including abortion, transgender issues, and election law), federalism, and constitutional issues of first impression.
  • OSG attorneys practice primarily before Idaho and federal appellate courts, including before the U.S. Supreme Court. In fact, the U.S. Supreme Court has granted certiorari and received merits briefing in two of the State’s cases in the last two years alone. The OSG also files amicus briefs in appellate courts around the country in cases that implicate Idaho’s interests, and takes an active role in developing arguments at the district court level in key cases.
  • The Deputy Solicitor General reports directly to the Solicitor General and helps manage the other members of the OSG team. The Deputy Solicitor General can expect to draft appellate briefs, dispositive motions, and Attorney General Opinions; coordinate with other Attorney General offices on multistate efforts; manage day-to-day litigation matters; and research, analyze, and consult on other issues of importance to the Attorney General and other constitutional officers. The Deputy Solicitor General can also expect oral argument opportunities, most often in front of the Ninth Circuit and the Idaho Supreme Court.

  • Do No Harm is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated interns to join our team. Interns will work within a selected track, including Research, Policy, Marketing, Social Media, Membership, Legal, or Development.
  • Intern duties could include conducting research on initiatives related to DEI and youth-focused gender issues, assisting in the preparation of reports, white papers, and policy briefs that reflect the organization's positions and recommendations, assisting in drafting and editing blog posts, monitoring legislative developments and media coverage of relevant healthcare issues, and collaborating with the communications team to support public outreach and engagement strategies.

Convention of States – Emerging Leaders Program Internship 2026-2027 (Remote)

Additionally, this position will assist a member of the National Team and will complete weekly projects and assignments relating to the daily operations of Convention of States.
