WASHINGTON –Today, The Heritage Foundation released its first podcast episode of Perspectives: The Confirmation of Amy Coney Barrett, a multi-part series that will feature intimate, in-depth conversations with the two Republican women on the Senate Judiciary Committee – Senators Joni Ernst and Marsha Blackburn. The senators are the first two Republican women on the Judiciary Committee, making their unique point of view especially important as America gets to know Judge Barrett throughout the confirmation process.

In this new series, they will give their insider perspective on the Supreme Court confirmation hearings for Judge Amy Coney Barrett – both ahead of the hearings, and as they happen. In the podcast’s first episode, listeners get exclusive insight about the senators’ thoughts on the opening day of the Judge Barrett’s hearings. Ernst and Blackburn speak with podcast host, Heritage Vice President of Government Relations Tommy Binion, about their preparation for the hearing, the special historical significance of their role on the Judiciary Committee, the threat posed by the Left’s radical new proposal to pack the Supreme Court, and why Judge Barrett should receive a swift vote on the Senate floor.

The stakes could not be higher. Be sure to subscribe to this one-of-a-kind podcast from two of the Senate’s most dynamic women.

“The confirmation of any woman to this post has special significance, but the historical magnitude of this moment is more relevant now than ever before. For the first time in history, the Republican Senate Majority has two women on the Judiciary Committee.” – Senator Marsha Blackburn

“Only 100 years ago, women in this country were given the right to vote. And today, we began considering adding another woman to the highest Court in the land.” – Senator Joni Ernst
