Heritage’s Andrew McIndoe Selected as 2020 Lincoln Fellow

May 10, 2020

Andrew McIndoe, vice president of development at The Heritage Foundation, has been selected as one of The Claremont Institute’s esteemed Lincoln Fellows for 2020.

“I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to participate in Claremont’s storied Lincoln Fellowship,” said McIndoe. “This will be a rewarding time dedicated to studying the American founding, the statesmanship of President Lincoln, and the underpinnings of conservative thought. It is humbling to be included in this class of well-respected leaders.”

The week-long fellowship, held at the Claremont Institute in Upland, California, includes intensive daily and evening seminars where they will discuss topics like the Civil War, the progressive era, the Great Society, and more, according to their website.

Each fellow's goal is to gain insight on how the statesmanship and political thought of the Founders and Abraham Lincoln can guide policymakers today.

“Claremont’s 2020 Lincoln Fellows represent a diverse group of professionals driving and shaping the national conversation about the future of America and Americanism. We are excited to help further equip them to understand our current political moment through study of the deep principles of American justice and their fresh adaptation to our turbulent times," said Ryan Williams, president of The Claremont Institute.

“From his position as VP of development at The Heritage Foundation, Andrew is well-positioned to help guide the American right at a crucial point in its history.”
