Heritage Welcomes Back Research Fellow Michaela Dodge

Washington, D.C. -- Dr. James Carafano, vice president for the Kathryn and Shelby Cullom Davis Institute for National Security and Foreign Policy, is proud to announce that Michaela Dodge has recently re-joined The Heritage Foundation as research fellow, missile defense and nuclear deterrence.

 

Dodge will specialize in missile defense, nuclear weapons policy and arms control. She has authored numerous research papers and commentary for Heritage, as well as contributed defense and national security posts to The Daily Signal. Her work has appeared in newspapers such as The Washington Times and journals like Strategic Studies Quarterly. Prior to re-joining Heritage, Dodge served as senior defense policy advisor to Sen. Jon Kyl from Oct.-Dec. 2018.

 

Dodge is a doctoral candidate in political science at George Mason University, and holds a master of science degree in defense and strategic studies from Missouri State University, where she was awarded the Ulrike Schumacher Memorial Scholarship for two years. She received a bachelor’s degree in international relations and defense and strategic studies from Masaryk University, Czech Republic. She was a Publius Fellow at the Claremont Institute, in addition to being a former Center for Strategic and International Studies PONI Nuclear Scholars Initiative scholar.
