Heritage’s Solutions Journal Wins National Graphic Design Award

Aug 22, 2022

For years, The Heritage Foundation has helped educate candidates and members of Congress with our Solutions publication. A new iteration of the popular product, Solutions Journal, was recently honored with Graphic Design USA’s award for journals and publications.

Solutions is one of Heritage’s longstanding and most popular publications, offering an accessible summary, policy proposals, and facts and figures on the full range of public policy topics, nearly 40 in all. It has taken a number of forms over the years, including a policy briefing book, pocket cards highlighting messaging, and a website.

This year, Heritage developed a quarterly journal highlighting four timely policy issues per edition and pairing the evergreen Solutions content with supporting stories, many of them gleaned from Daily Signal coverage.

Solutions Journal provides lawmakers and candidates with a single source for conservative solutions and the stories, messaging, and figures to promote them.

The first edition, managed by Scott Zipperle and designed by Lydia Emrich, was released this spring and received the Graphic Design USA award.

Graphic Design USA, founded in 1963, is a business-to-business information source for graphic design professionals. Each year it receives thousands of entries for its award competitions.
