Elizabeth Fender serves as director of the Center on Public Opinion at The Heritage Foundation, overseeing research and analysis of public opinion, market research, and polling.
Fender is responsible for Heritage’s public opinion analysis and research projects on Americans’ awareness, perceptions of, and resonance with conservative policies.
She is also a contributor to The Daily Signal, Heritage’s multimedia news organization.
Fender was promoted to director in January 2017. She had been a market research associate since 2015, conducting and then overseeing the work of the American Perceptions Initiative, The Heritage Foundation’s project on market research.
Before joining Heritage in 2015, Fender spent five years as a research and data manager at WBA Research in Maryland, preparing data and managing market research projects in the health care, transportation, and higher education industries.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and communications from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pa.
Fender, who was born and grew up in Bear, Delaware, currently resides in Alexandria, Virginia.
