Patrick Tyrrell is a research coordinator in The Heritage Foundation’s Center for International Trade and Economics.
Tyrrell, who joined Heritage in 2007, focuses his research on policies related to economic freedom, entrepreneurship, world poverty, and trade and investment around the world.
Tyrrell’s commentary and opinion pieces have been published by The American Spectator, The Washington Times, National Review Online, The Daily Signal, CNSNews.com, and the Foundation for Economic Education, among others. He has been quoted in major U.S. and international media, among them USA Today, and has appeared on C-Span.
Tyrrell holds bachelor’s degrees in economics and psychology from the University of Virginia. A native of Bloomington, Ind., he grew up in Washington, D.C., and currently resides in the D.C. area.
