Jason Snead was a senior policy analyst in the Edwin Meese III Center for Legal and Judicial Studies at The Heritage Foundation. Snead wrote extensively on the need to reform the nation’s civil asset forfeiture laws. He also researched and wrote on issues such as economic liberties and the sharing economy, and criminal justice reform and policing.
In addition to Heritage publications, Snead’s commentary and analysis have appeared in The Washington Times, The Baltimore Sun, and the Chicago Sun-Times.
Snead joined Heritage in 2009, as a staff assistant to former U.S. Secretary of Labor Elaine L. Chao. He later served as an assistant and scheduler to former U.S. Attorney General Edwin Meese, then the Chairman of the Center for Legal and Judicial Studies.
A native of Beavercreek, Ohio, Snead holds a master’s degree in public policy from George Mason University’s School of Policy, Government, and International Affairs. He graduated summa cum laude from Bowling Green State University with a bachelor’s degree in history and political science. He resides in Arlington, Virginia.
