Heritage President Applauds Republican Study Committee’s Pro-Family Agenda

WASHINGTON—Heritage Foundation President Kevin Roberts released the following statement Friday praising the Republican Study Committee’s newly released Family Policy Agenda:

“The family is the central building block of American society and western civilization. Without healthy, intact families our republic will not survive. The Left knows this, which is why they are working around the clock to rewrite the definition of marriage, cement abortion-on-demand into federal law, remove parental involvement from the classroom, and even redefine the biological reality of gender: male and female.

“I applaud Chairman Jim Banks and the Republican Study Committee for putting forth a series of legislative solutions to restore the centrality of the family in policymaking. Among many proposals, this agenda includes enacting a parental bill of rights, establishing universal savings accounts, ending marriage penalties in the tax code and welfare policy, expanding school choice, protecting faith-based childcare providers, ending abortion, and much more.

“This is the pro-family conservative platform policymakers at every level of government should rally behind. We at The Heritage Foundation look forward to working with the RSC and congressional leaders to make this agenda one of the top priorities for the next Congress.”
