WASHINGTON—The Heritage Foundation unveiled a 30-by-60-foot banner on the side of its Washington, D.C. headquarters Friday honoring the life and legacy of conservative leader and Turning Point USA Founder Charlie Kirk. The banner features a photo of Kirk and his wife, Erika, along with one of Kirk’s most poignant quotes: “Get married. Have children. Build a legacy. Pass down your values. Pursue the eternal. Seek true joy.”

Dr. Kevin Roberts, president of The Heritage Foundation and Heritage Action for America, commented on the tribute:

“Charlie Kirk’s assassination robbed a wife of her husband, two beautiful children of an exceptional father, The Heritage Foundation of a dear friend, and our country of its best and brightest young leader. Today, as we continue to mourn, we take solace in knowing that Charlie was a Christian, and that for Christians, death is not the end.

“We also take comfort in knowing that the one thing Charlie’s assassin can’t steal is the hope for America’s future – and the courage to fight for it – that Charlie instilled in so many of us.

“To our friends and fellow citizens, let this banner remind you that Charlie’s legacy will never die. To those who celebrate his death, let it stand as a warning: You will not deter us from victory. Our God is stronger than your malice. And we will prevail.”

Kirk was assassinated earlier this month while speaking at an event at Utah Valley University. The Heritage Foundation mourns the loss of his life and condemns all forms of political violence. Heritage recognizes Kirk’s immense contributions to the conservative movement and our country—and will display this banner for the foreseeable future to honor his memory.
