WASHINGTON—The Heritage Foundation announced today that Katie Pavlich, editor of Townhall.com and Fox News contributor, is joining Heritage as a visiting fellow within the Davis Institute for National Security and Foreign Policy.
Pavlich commented on her new role:
“I am thrilled to join The Heritage Foundation as a visiting fellow. At this pivotal moment for our country, I look forward to focusing my efforts on studying and defending Western civilization while contributing bold ideas to an institution committed to safeguarding America’s homeland security.”
As a visiting fellow, Pavlich will be charged with advocating for conservative homeland security solutions and illuminating the value of defending Western civilization.
Victoria Coates, vice president of Heritage’s Kathryn and Shelby Cullom Davis Institute for National Security and Foreign Policy, added:
“It’s a great pleasure to welcome Katie Pavlich to The Heritage Foundation. She has been a fearless voice in defense of our nation’s sovereignty and a leader exposing the fecklessness of the Biden administration’s disastrous open-border policy. We are thrilled to have her join Heritage’s groundbreaking work on these issues.”
An accomplished reporter and Fox News contributor, Pavlich has covered major special events, U.S. elections, the White House, Departments of Justice and Homeland Security, border policy, foreign affairs, and much more.
Lora Ries, director of Heritage’s Border Security and Immigration Center, welcomed Pavlich:
“I am excited to have Katie join our Heritage team. She hails from Arizona, so she brings a keen interest in border and immigration issues. She also aggressively stays on top of current events, has great insight into the inner workings of Washington, D.C., and can easily explain them through her great writing and speaking skills. Katie will no doubt elevate Heritage’s ability to educate and influence America on key national and homeland security issues.”
Pavlich’s international reporting includes assignments in Israel, China and the UK—in addition to diplomatic trips with the U.S. State Department and White House. In 2020, she interviewed President Donald J. Trump from the Rose Garden.
She is the award-winning author of “Assault and Flattery: The Truth About the Left and Their War on Women” and the New York Times Best Seller “Fast and Furious: Barack Obama’s Bloodiest Scandal and Its Shameless Cover-Up.” Her work has also appeared in The Hill, Pittsburgh Tribune, and on Fox News and the Outdoor Channel.
Katie holds a journalism degree from the University of Arizona and has held fellowships with the National Review Institute, Foreign Policy Initiative, and Foundation for Defense of Democracies. She is a member of the White House Correspondents Association and serves on the board of the National Journalism Center.
