Cana Academy is receiving an award for its project, HISTORY250: Telling America’s Story One Film at a Time, which highlights American history via 250 short documentaries, complete with banks of original documents, maps, and lesson plans for teachers.

The Emergent Order Foundation uses heroic storytelling to inspire purposeful action, aiming to unlock individual potential and champion civilization. Their vision is a thriving, free society rooted in civil discourse, freedom, and strong families. Their prize-winning project, 250 Years in Pursuit, is a 6-part video series that will culminate on July 4th, 2026, featuring interviews with top historians and scholars while exploring the Enlightenment roots of liberty, the founding documents, and the legacy of American ideals.
Herzog Foundation
The Herzog Foundation’s mission is to catalyze and accelerate the development of quality Christ-centered K-12 education so that families and culture flourish. Their prize-winning project, The Freedom Tour, is a 3-week celebration that will last from mid-June to July 3, 2026, visiting all 13 original colonies and featuring rally-style battlefield birthday parties, music, and family entertainment designed to educate citizens on America’s founding values and inspire renewed patriotism.
Sophia Insititute
The Sophia Institute publishes and distributes over one million influential Catholic books a year, serving more than 70,000 teachers through their programs. Their prize-winning project, Fostering Virtuous Patriotism: Celebrating America’s 250th Anniversary in Catholic Schools, will develop resource kits that renew patriotic devotion through a deep exploration of the Declaration of Independence for families, students, and teachers in Catholic schools and parishes.
Dr. Matthew Mehan
Dr. Matthew Mehan, the Associate Dean and Associate Professor of Government for Hillsdale’s Graduate School of Government, is receiving the award from Heritage for his forthcoming book, The American Family’s Book of Fables. This book is a collection of enriching fables that depict the wildlife, geography, and folklore of America. It features American animals, like the bald eagle, and ecological zones, like the Rocky Mountains, while featuring the actual text of the Declaration of Independence to serve as morals that organize each group of fables.
