WASHINGTON—Today, The Heritage Foundation and Heritage Action for America are celebrating the 100th day of President Donald J. Trump’s second term, continuing a week-long Heritage effort to highlight the Trump administration’s success on behalf of the American people.
Dr. Kevin Roberts, president of The Heritage Foundation and Heritage Action for America, praised President Trump on his first 100 days in office:
“In just 100 days, President Trump has done more for the everyday American than Joe Biden managed in four years. He has taken a sledgehammer to the bloated and out-of-touch bureaucracy, restored the rule of law, and put Americans — not Washington elites — first.
“Thanks to his bold leadership, America is safer, stronger, and on the verge of a New Golden Age. If we want these gains to last, Congress must act. President Trump has laid the groundwork—now it’s time for lawmakers to lock these victories in for generations.”
After four years of open borders, historic inflation, and radical ideology pushed from every direction, Americans sent President Trump back to Washington to restore American greatness—and he is delivering on his promises.
From securing the border to protecting women and girls in sports, from banning DEI in the federal government to saving taxpayers billions through the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), President Trump has made significant progress since his inauguration in January.
Ryan Walker, executive vice president of Heritage Action for America commented on President Trump’s first 100 days:
"During the first 100 days in office, President Trump has taken bold steps toward ushering in the Golden Age of America and restoring American greatness. From securing our borders to ending divisive DEI policies across the federal government to ordering the dismantling of the Department of Education, Heritage Action is working closely with Congress to advance legislation to cement President Trump’s legacy and ensure future administrations cannot undo these achievements."
Key Accomplishments Include:
-
Securing the Border: Reinstated Remain in Mexico, ended catch-and-release, designated MS-13 and cartels as foreign terrorist organizations, and began deporting record numbers of illegal aliens.
-
Restoring Biological Reality: Blocked biological males from participating in women’s sports and reinstated protections based on biological sex.
-
Dismantling DEI Bureaucracy: Banned divisive DEI mandates in the federal government and eliminated ideological training programs that waste taxpayer dollars and erode merit-based hiring.
-
Launching DOGE: The newly created Department of Government Efficiency is cutting red tape, slashing redundant agencies, and redirecting billions in savings back to American taxpayers.
-
Improving National Defense and Security: Directed the Department of Defense to reprioritize merit and lethality in the U.S. military and restore military excellence and readiness, designated the Houthis as a foreign terrorist organization, ordered a halt to funding of NGOs that undermine the national interest, reinstated service members who had been discharged over the COVID vaccine.
-
Protecting American Values: Declared English the official language, restored free speech protections, and cracked down on antisemitism in education and federal programs.
-
Strengthening the Military and Law Enforcement: Reinstated service members discharged under vaccine mandates, increased recruitment standards, and reaffirmed a focus on mission over politics.
To celebrate these achievements, Heritage launched a comprehensive campaign to tout the Top 100 Wins of Trump’s First 100 Days. Heritage published a new webpage to list Trump’s top 100 wins, accompanied by a digital and social media education campaign. Heritage Action Executive Vice President Ryan Walker discussed work with Congress to codify Trump’s important work so far.
On Monday, Heritage installed a 30x60 foot banner on the side of the organization’s D.C. headquarters showing off some of Trump’s key wins—and released a new ad delivered to supporters in a paid media campaign. The week of celebrations will be capped off by a conservative movement-wide event on Wednesday just steps from the Capitol.
