As the opioid crisis is driving thousands of children into the foster care system, some states are ill-equipped to even provide a bed for these new foster children, let alone find them a “forever family.”
It is at this critical moment that legal activist groups are seeking to leverage the power of government to impose their sexual orthodoxy upon faith-based adoption agencies. As a result, faith-based providers in Massachusetts, Illinois, Washington, D.C., and California have had to close their doors, leading to the displacement of thousands of children. Now the ACLU and Lambda Legal are filing lawsuits to try to force faith-based agencies in Michigan and Texas to violate their beliefs or shut their doors.
The overburdened adoption and foster care systems cannot afford to lose faith-based agencies. Join us for a conversation on this pressing issue.
