WASHINGTON—In celebration of National School Choice Week, The Heritage Foundation announced Thursday that Lindsey Burke, director of Heritage’s Center for Education Policy, has been named as the foundation’s new Kolokotrones Fellow.
The new fellowship was made possible by a donation from Mark A. Kolokotrones, who has served as a member of Heritage’s Board of Trustees since 2015 and has been a Heritage member since 2010. He is also the founder and president of Castle Knoll Investments LLC.
“There is no one better suited to take on the role of Kolokotrones Fellow than Lindsey Burke. Dr. Burke is a true champion for the education choice movement,” said Heritage Foundation President Kay C. James. “Heritage is also deeply grateful to Mark Kolokotrones for making this critical work possible. Mark is a dedicated advocate for school choice in America and is passionate about effective education policy at the federal, state, and local levels. We are indebted to Mark for his help guiding the work of Heritage as a trustee for the past five years and for this amazing contribution to help create better educational outcomes for America’s children.”
