William E. Simon, Jr., brings his experience as a financier, federal prosecutor and philanthropist to The Heritage Foundation’s Board of Trustees.

Simon is currently Executive Director of William E. Simon & Sons LLC, a global merchant bank he co-founded with his brother and his father, former Treasury Secretary and “energy czar” William E. Simon, Sr. Since its founding in 1988, the firm has built and manages a diverse and significant investment portfolio, with holdings in real estate, private equity and fixed-income securities.

From 1985 to 1988, Simon served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York under then-U.S. Attorney Rudolph Giuliani. He also serves as Co-Chairman of the William E. Simon Foundation and the Cynthia L. and William E. Simon, Jr., Foundation.
