Tori K. Whiting is a research assistant in The Heritage Foundation’s Center for Trade and Economics. She helps to write, edit, and promote Heritage’s premier annual publication, the Index of Economic Freedom.
Before joining Heritage in September 2015, Whiting was a legislative aide in the Michigan House of Representatives, where she also interned.
She is a 2014 graduate of Heritage’s Young Leaders Program, where she worked with the Center for Trade and Economics.
Whiting, who is proficient in Spanish, holds a bachelor’s degree in international relations from James Madison Residential College at Michigan State University.
Whiting was born in Jackson, Mich., and grew up in Spring Arbor, Mich. She currently resides in Silver Spring, Md.
