Thousands of conservatives will travel to the Washington, D.C., area this week for the 43rd annual Conservative Political Action Conference. The Heritage Foundation, a presenting sponsor, will have a strong presence at CPAC. Jim DeMint, will speak Thursday at 10:45 a.m. from the event’s main stage. Heritage will have nine other speakers address CPAC over the course of three days.

DeMint Congratulates New OMB Director Mulvaney
The Senate confirmed Rep. Mick Mulvaney of South Carolina as President Donald Trump’s director of the Office of Management and Budget. Heritage President Jim DeMint congratulated Mulvaney on the new role. “Mick has the experience and right ideas needed to help our new president and Congress put our nation’s fiscal future on a sustainable track and free us of expensive, ineffective regulations.”
