As director of Talent Development and Compensation at The Heritage Foundation, Kaitlyn Wood managed Heritage’s competitive compensation programs, payroll administration, performance management, and staff training and development.

Kaitlyn joined Heritage in 2016 as a personnel associate. She was promoted to senior associate in 2018 and director of Talent Development and Compensation in 2019. In 2019, she was the recipient of the organization’s Annie Hambleton Award for unfailing devotion and commitment to the ideals of Heritage, and extraordinary courtesy to Heritage colleagues. Prior to coming to Heritage, she was the human resources manager for Strategic Business Systems.

Kaitlyn was born and raised in Northern Virginia. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Franciscan University, and currently lives in Alexandria with her husband.
