WASHINGTON, FEB. 3, 2016—Michael W. Gleba has been elected to serve on The Heritage Foundation’s Board of Trustees. The Washington D.C.-based think tank has been a leading conservative voice in public policy for more than 40 years.
Mr. Gleba is Chairman/CEO, Treasurer and Trustee of the Sarah Scaife Foundation, a Pittsburgh-based philanthropic organization supporting public policy research and other programs that address major domestic and international issues. He joins a group of 21 other business leaders, ambassadors, policymakers and philanthropists on the Heritage board.
Gleba is an active board member of many nonprofit state and national research institutes including Stanford University’s Hoover Institution, the Allegheny Institute for Public Policy, the Competitive Enterprise Institute and the Intercollegiate Studies Institute. An experienced attorney, he also serves as a member of the Executive Committee of the International and National Security Law Practice Group of the Federalist Society for Law & Public Policy Studies.
“It’s a pleasure to welcome Michael to our board,” said Jim DeMint, president & CEO of The Heritage Foundation. “He has devoted much of his career to promoting rigorous public policy research and developing the intellectual underpinnings of the conservative movement. That experience will prove immensely helpful to our Board as we work together to advance freedom and prosperity throughout the United States and the world.”
The Heritage Foundation is the nation’s most broadly supported public policy research institute, with more than a half-million individual, foundation and corporate donors.
