SEC. _. TREATMENT OF CERTAIN NATIONALS OF IRAQ. (a) REQUIREMENT FOR REHEARING OF CERTAINCLAIMS DENIED ON BASIS OF CHANGED COUNTRY CON-DITIONS."Section 208(b) of the Immigration and NationalityAct (8 U.S.C. 1158(b)) is amended by adding at theend the following:''(4) CHANGED COUNTRY CONDITIONS."TheAttorney General shall accept and grant a motionfiled not later than 6 months after the date of theenactment of this paragraph for rehearing before animmigration judge of an application for asylum orwithholding of removal if the alien"''(A) is a religious minority from Iraqwhose claim was denied by an immigrationjudge in whole or in part on the basis ofchanged country conditions on or after March1, 2003; and''(B) has remained in the United States asof the date of the enactment of this paragraph.''.
(b) CONSIDERATION OF CERTAIN NATIONALS FROMIRAQ AS PRIORITY 2 REFUGEES."Subject to the numericallimitations established pursuant to section 207 of theImmigration and Nationality Act (8 U.S.C. 1157), theSecretary of State or a designee of the Secretary shallpresent to the Secretary of Homeland Security, and the.Secretary of Homeland Security or a designee of the Secretaryshall adjudicate, any application for refugee statusunder section 207 of the Immigration and Nationality ActU.S.C. 1157) submitted by an applicant who"
(1) is a national of Iraq;
(2) is able to demonstrate that he or she is amember of a religious minority group in Iraq; and
(3) is able to demonstrate that he or she leftIraq before January 1, 2007, and has resided outsideIraq since that time..
