So, (4)(i) is basically saying that the REAL ID Act WILL be in place and operational when this Immigration Bill passes. No more freedom in the work place for those of us who were BORN in this country, paid the taxes we needed to pay to make this country GREAT and WORKED all our lives in and FOR this country. American Citizens are now delegated to the lower class of "illegal immigrants" and are treated as such. Do I have this right? If so, GOD help us because the government in DC (District of Criminals) is and has been too busy to remember what their job was when they went to DC...to operate a government that was "of, for, and by the people"....guess they sorta forgot that, huh?

5, (a & b) I'm amazed that the proposed timeline given for processing the Z non-immigrant status is 18 months only. Yet, I as a legal immigrant have been waiting for five (5)years for my wife to join me. Our pertition has languished now for the duration somewhere in the Homeland Security Offices. The logical conclusion is that illegal immigrants are more welcome than those who choose the legal route to establish residency in the U.S.A.

I don't have a problem with people coming to this country to get ahead in life -- in fact, I haven't heard anyone complain about immigrants. After immigrants are the ones who have made this country what it is. What I -- and most -- have a problem with are illegal immigrants. If you want to come to this country do it legaly.

It appears that our elected representatives went to a great deal of effort to produce an abortive attempt legislation. We keep hearing how impossible it is to remove 12M illegals, but have barely attempted to take on the task of removing them...have they given up on American soveriegnty? The last I heard, there is no "right" of citizens of other countries to become citizens of our country. Rather, there is merely an inscription on the Statue of Liberty. If we are to remain a soverign nation based on the rule of law, we must 1) control our borders, 2) enforce our laws. Simply making new laws without an effective plan of enforcement simply runs counter to common sense and our national survival. Elected leaders, please make up your mind whom you shall serve, the citizens of the United States of America or everyone else...afterall, at stake is only America.

I am a legal immigrant (not from Mexico). I think is unfair that the Mexicans have the advantage over people of other countries because they are near the border. It is not easy to be an ilegal or legal immigrant in Mexico. They sure know how to keep their country clear of immigrants. This bill is only rewarding people who like to live without any laws, that is why our latin countries are in the conditions that they are in right now.

The ilegals have brought upon themselves the irate of the hard working people in this country, who also had brought this ilegal problem upon themselves. Most ilegals are indeed good and hard working people, and a lot of people take advantage of them because of their condition of illegality and ignorance. The thing is that a lot of them choose to keep ignorant; I know this because I see it, and it is frustating to see how my own people came to this country in search of a better life, because our goverment in our own country are worth s--t, but they get use to the freebies and the social services that are offered so freely and foolishly in this country and of course who wouldn't want to take advantage of any freebies? I see a lot of the ilegal immigrants kids at school struggling because they don't have the support they need at home because their parents are usually illiterate in their own language. There are many programs that are offer to them,free, to improve themselves and learn the English language, but they don't take advantage of it. I know there is people who say "but they have to work 2,3..jobs to make it" not true, a lot of the mothers I know are home with their other kids, sometimes with no kids; that is another problem too; I don't understand the people who keep having kids when they don't have the resources, the time, or the patience to take care of the ones they already have.

We need as American Citizens to rise up and condemn these actions that our 'leaders' are forcing on us. They are not the regular folks that have to work 2 jobs to make ends meet. The Z visa is described in the bill as a nonimmigrant visa but it allows the applicant to bring in his immediate family as Z2 and Z3 with full residence and working privileges. This "nonimmigrant" visa can be renewed indefintely for the life of the applicant. How does this differ from the permanent resident visa which does the same thing aside from the fact that one must first become a permanent resident before applying for citizenship? This Z visa looks to be about as permanent as can be. Also I note that while applicants for permanent residence must pass a medical exam as part of the application process there is no such requirement for the Z visa applicants including the Z2 and Z3 dependents who will presumably be applying in their millions at our consulates abroad. Has the issue of public health been totally overlooked by the Senators or is it that they just don't care?

Hey, I was one of the idiots that came to this country legally. I should just bring the rest of my family over illegally. After all, while they are illegally here they can work in the shadows and not pay any taxes, unlike myself they can go to the University and get scholarships and financial help because they won't show any income, they can get free medical care at the expense of other people, they can get free lunches for their kids at schools, they won't even have to learn the language if they don't want to because everything is translated into Spanish from English....etc. Hey, why not after all I am being tax up to my eyeballs because I had made responsible decisions in my life, why not have the rest of my family take advantage of all this country has to offer? why should mostly the Mexicans get the benefits? after all they don't really like caucasians. God help us all! La Raza is coming! Viva Aztlan and their hate toward anybody that is not Mexican (even other hispanics)

keep being outraged, the politicians don't care. I am thinking instead of being stupid and do it the legal way, maybe I can bring some members of my family illegally here so they can take advantage of the next amnesty; while they wait, they can take advantage of working and getting paid under the table while they take utilize all of the social services. Yeah baby!
