Biotechnology has redefined both the battlefield and the home front in the 21st Century. Current scientific research is on the brink of reshaping national security, as the study of biological structures has provided America with a new set of utilities to combat terrorists. Beyond the research and development of these new techniques, it is important to evaluate how this technology will work within national security and defense strategy. Will this technology have a significant effect on winning the Long War? What investment has the Department of Defense made for researching the applications of biotechnology? What applications have already been made? How close are these technologies to being ready for the battlefield and the home front? Join us as we explore the potential outcomes biotechnology will have on the Long War.
