As the nation looks to nuclear energy to help meet its energy and environmental objectives, the Department of Energy has requested that industry help to inform a decision on the potential path forward for technologies and facilities associated with domestic used fuel management.  Industry responded with a number of recommendations including one to develop a new organizational approach to waste management.  The concept has gained interest and momentum.   Should the federal government remain responsible for waste management? Is privatization the right approach? Or is the best way forward some combination of both?  What is the perception of nuclear operators? Please join us for a panel to discuss these and other critical issues.
