Many behavioral problems among young children are linked to factors related to the home environment and parent-child bonds. Children in intact families that provide greater cognitive stimulation and maternal care are less likely to exhibit negative behaviors. Parental religious activity is also linked to a variety of positive outcomes for children’s emotional development and well-being.
