Eoncomy Adds Jobs, but Slowly

The U.S. economy added 200,000 jobs in December 2011. If jobs continue to be added at that rate, it will take nearly five more years before the unemployment rate lowers to the natural rate of 5.2 percent.
Dec. 2011: +200,000 jobs per month
Q4 2011: +137,300 jobs per month
1997–1999: +264,800 jobs per month
