Profiles in Terroris a ready-reference book profiling twenty terrorist organizations operating in the Middle East and the regional groups that are affiliated with these organizations. Each profile includes detailed descriptions of the group's ideology, historical background, leadership, organization, external relations and financial support, chronology of major events and attacks, and additional resources and references. Beyond providing this basic information on terror groups, Profiles in Terror emphasizes the vast web of links between terrorist organizations with very different goals and ideologies. 


Aaron Mannes is a former Director of Research of the Middle East Media Research Institute. His articles on Middle East affairs and terrorism have appeared in numerous publications including Policy Review, The Wall Street Journal-Europe, The Jerusalem Post, National Review Online, The Forward, Middle East Insight, and The Journal of International Security Affairs. In addition to appearances before groups throughout the United States, he has been interviewed on radio programs worldwide. He holds a Master's degree from St. John's College, Annapolis, Maryland.
