Location: The Heritage Foundation's Lehrman Auditorium

One of the most important issues in national security today is the state of America's military industrial base. Identifying problems that Congress faces with the military industrial base, proposing solutions, and developing a method to help Congress understand the actual effect industrial base legislative efforts will have are components of a major Heritage Foundation project currently underway. Crucial to any legislative effort is an understanding of the advantages and disadvantages of different approaches to safeguarding America's military industrial base. Please join us as our distinguished panelists analyze the free market and controlled competition models. This is the first of two public events examining different models; the next event on March 9 will analyze targeted protectionism and nationalization.

This Project is made possible by a grant from the Tawani Foundation, and its founder Colonel (IL) James N. Pritzker ILARNG (Ret.), who are dedicated to promoting awareness and understanding of the role of the Citizen Soldier in America's military heritage.
