Humpty Dumpty Lacked Personal Responsibility...The Mother Goose Diaries: Adventures of a Conservative Actress in Hollywood

Recorded on March 13, 2007

Location: The Heritage Foundation's Lehrman Auditorium

Award-winning actress and writer, Cheryl Felicia Rhoads has also been a committed combatant in the culture wars. She humorously and poignantly shares her journey through the entertainment industry. From a little girl in children's theatre, who sold Goldwater soda pop to the dismay of teachers … to a pro confronting political propaganda in her agent's office in Hollywood, she tells a tale of survival in an aggressively liberal profession.

CHERYL FELICIA RHOADS starred as Mother Goose in The Mother Goose Video Treasury. She has also guest starred on many TV shows including Rodney, Any Day Now, Saved by the Bell & The Client to name just a few. She was a cast member with Ben Affleck on the NBC series Against the Grain. She co-starred with Arsenio Hall & Smokey Robinson and was also a writer on The Motown Revue. She wrote The Doc Insider segments for the PAX series Doc. New Times Los Angeles Magazine praised Cheryl Rhoads' comedy classes for kids as the "BEST in Los Angeles." Her articles have appeared in UPI, AEI, National Review Online, Townhall.com, and Human Events. Her speech on Hollywood conservatives for the Clare Boothe Luce Policy Institute was on C-SPAN and she has been a guest on MSNBC's Scarborough Country. Last year, Ken Starr invited her to speak in his home to Pepperdine University students about faith and a career in show business. She can be seen in the new film, Americanizing Shelley.
