After a distinguished governmental service career, Dr. Edgar Terán is now a Professor at the University of the Americas in Ecuador.  From 1996-1998, he was Head Negotiator of the Delegation for Border Problems with Peru.  He previously served as Ambassador of Ecuador to the United States (1992-1996) as well as Minister of Foreign Affairs (1984-1987).  Additionally, Dr. Terán was President of the Foreign Commerce Institute (1971-1972), General Secretary of Public Administration (1969), and Legal Counsel to the President of the Republic (1968).  He is a member of the Academy of Lawyers, owner of Estudio Jurídico Terán & Terán, and President of Hacia la Seguridad - Imperio de la Ley.  Join us as Dr. Terán reviews the present state of affairs in his homeland and assesses tomorrow's challenges for freedom in Ecuador.
