Consolidation in the Department of Homeland Security
Recorded on September 19, 2002
As the creation of a Department of Homeland Security becomes a
reality, it is critical to ensure that the myriad of organizations
and agencies involved are consolidated appropriately. One of the
most important areas to ensure consolidation of resources is in
First Responder support and training programs. There are currently
over a half dozen First Responder programs at the federal level,
with many more at state and local levels. These programs will
require a significant coordination effort by the new Department of
Homeland Security, as well as new challenges for First Responders.
Join us on September 19th at 12:00 Noon for a discussion on the
vital need for proper consolidation of resources in the Department
of Homeland Security and information on the vital role that First
Responders play in homeland security.
This event is being made possible by a gift from
Commander Jay T. and Emma Palmer who were dedicated to preserving
America's freedom for future generations.
