Iraq has made considerable progress towards democracy after more than thirty years of Saddam Hussein's dictatorship. But elements of the former regime and Islamic extremists remain formidable obstacles to a stable democracy. Please join us as Mr. Samir Sumaidaie, a former member of the Iraqi Governing Council and former Minister of Interior, assesses the prospects for building a stable democracy in Iraq.
