Green Jobs Rhetoric Gets Red-Hot

Recorded on March 21, 2012

For the second time in a week, President Obama declares those who oppose his green jobs agenda belong in the Flat Earth Society. And Obama's White House press secretary says Republicans are “ignorant” for wanting to pull back billions in green jobs giveaways.

When it's oil and gas, Obama calls it subsidies when they get the same tax treatment as other business. But what about the much bigger money he wants for wind and solar power? That's different. Obama labels those as “public investments.”

Yet Solyndra went bankrupt despite $535-million from Washington. So far 20 of those green energy companies have gone belly-up despite federal help, and their workers were laid off. So critics labeled these “phony jobs.”

Disagree with Obama, and he says you're a flat earther. But agree with his spending, and it's the taxpayers' wallet that gets flattened.
