Obama's Not-So-Secret Whispering Campaign

Open microphones are popular. People like open mic nights at comedy clubs, or the chance to perform at karaoke.

But open mic's are problems for politicians. Many office holders have been caught in a gaffe when they thought the public couldn't hear them.

Embarrassing only yourself is one thing. But revealing your intentions to a foreign power is quite different.

President Obama clearly asked the president of Russia to “give him some space” until after the election, and then he expects to have “more flexibility” regarding missile defense and unilateral reductions to our nuclear arsenal.

Obama should not give hints to the Russians that he's not willing to share with us, the American people. If he intends to make defense concessions if he's re-elected, the only honorable course is for Obama to tell us that right now, before the elections.
