Just Like Gasoline, Cost of Federal Regulations Skyrockets

Recorded on March 13, 2012

Gasoline is not the only thing that's skyrocketing.

Fedeal red tape is piling up at a record rate, and some of those new restrictions are pushing up the price of gasoline.

In three years the Obama Administration has enacted new regulations that place a $46-billion annual burden on our economy.

That's about $150 per American; $600 for a family of four. That cost is five times higher than new regulations during George W. Bush's first three years. Obama says Bush issued about the same number of new regulations. True, but Obama's regulations are much harsher; that's why they're five times more expensive. All that red tape is bogging down our economy.

And if Obama wanted gasoline prices to go down, why does he propose higher taxes on oil and gas? Those taxes get passed on to you at the pump.
