Civility

If you criticize President Obama, you must be stupid.

 

At least, that's what Newsweek claims in a cover story this week.

That's just another example of how the left calls names while accusing conservatives of being intolerant.

 

Another example is that President Obama has called Republicans in Congress “hostage takers.” Vice President Biden has called them terrorists. And the chairman of the Democrat National Committee has suggested that the Tea Party bears responsibility for the shooting of a Congresswoman.

 

In truth, both sides of the political spectrum get carried away sometimes in their rhetoric. But it's common for the media to call out conservatives for this, while giving liberals a pass.

 

Especially in a hot election year like 2012, we can expect it to get worse. The real key to civility is not to ask others to be civil, but to be that way yourself.
