Bin Laden Capture

Osama Bin Laden’s reign of terror is over. The real heroes are the intelligence agents who worked for years to track down Bin Laden, and the Navy Seals who carried out the raid on his hiding place. They did their jobs expertly and in silent obscurity. Yes President Obama made key decisions and deserves credit. Yes former President Bush put efforts in place that paid off years later.
Neither of them is being a bragger, but political operatives are trying to make sure each of them are heaped with praise. Sometimes at the expense of the other. Most of us don’t’ want politics injected into this moment of united nation-wide relief. The better course is to focus the praise on those who did the intelligence work and risked their lives. Nobody knows their names but everybody owes them thanks.
