Obama's Energy Plan

President Obama says we should rely less on foreign oil. That's good. But his plan is to lower our standard of living, not to improve our supply of affordable energy.
Obama claims he supports domestic production, but the oil and gas industry has documented 27 different ways his administration is actually holding it back.
His blueprint calls for switching to alternative energy like wind and solar that cost far more than fossil fuels, are unreliable because they depend on the weather, and require huge amounts of land to generate power. Just to power New York City would require covering all of Connecticut with windmills, and praying for a constant steady wind.
The President was right that there's no quick fix. That's why he should end government interference, and let us develop our abundant resources without delay.
