On June 23, 2016, voters in the United Kingdom gave the biggest mandate in British electoral history to support Leaving the European Union. As the architect of the Vote Leave campaign, Matthew Elliott will explain why voters made this historic decision and how 'Brexit' may unfold over the next few years. He will also discuss how the economic predictions of the Remain campaign's 'Project Fear' have not come to pass, and how Britain can build a bright future as a global trading nation outside of the European Union.
Matthew Elliott was the Chief Executive of the successful Vote Leave campaign, in this year's referendum on Britain's membership of the EU. Having founded Business for Britain in 2013, Matthew was the principal strategist and organizer behind the historic Leave victory. Matthew previously led the successful NOtoAV campaign in the 2011 referendum on changing Britain's voting system, and is the Founder of the UK's TaxPayers' Alliance.
