Nana Akufo-Addo is one of Ghana’s foremost statesmen, whose political career has spanned over four decades. During this time, Mr. Akufo-Addo has served Ghana as Attorney General and Minister for Justice as well as Foreign Minister. He has been a staunch advocate of democracy, the rule of law, and the promotion of human rights in Ghana. He is passionate about his country’s ongoing economic transformation and believes that it has the requisite natural and human resources to accelerate its economic development through the adoption of free market policies.
In his view, Africa is entering the era of value addition, a necessary transformation best accomplished by the private sector. The evolution will benefit the continent’s fast-growing population and make a meaningful contribution to global civilization in the 21st Century and beyond.
