Pat Boone: Reflecting on 60 Years in Entertainment

Co-hosted by

Singer, actor, television host, producer, songwriter, author, motivational speaker, advertising pitchman, radio personality, record company head, TV station owner, sports team owner, family man and humanitarian – Pat Boone has done them all. He has lived an amazing life of integrity – one that’s especially remarkable given his career field: the entertainment industry. Who else has remained so true to his faith, family values, and love of God while being mobbed by screaming teenage girls; starring in Hollywood movies; befriending royalty, presidents, and rock stars alike; and staring out from the cover of Rolling Stone magazine?

Billboard, the music industry bible, lists him as the #10 all-time top recording artist. He runs his own record company, The Gold Label, designed for legendary artists of a certain age and certifiable talent (all with million-selling gold records to their credit). He is National Spokesman for the 60 Plus Association, and he is featured on two nationally syndicated radio shows, “The Music of Your Life” and “The Pat Boone Show.”

Boone’s original teen idol success attracted Hollywood’s interest, leading him to star in fourteen movies. He became the youngest person to have his own weekly musical variety show, at times ranked the number one show in television. Even Elvis Presley once opened a Pat Boone concert. Pat has not one star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, but three – for his Music, his Movies, and his top-rated TV Show, where he featured some of the best known entertainers in the world: Nat "King" Cole, Tony Bennett, Johnny Mathis, Andy Williams, George Shearing, Ella Fitzgerald, Count Basie, Connie Francis, the Kingston Trio and hundreds more.

People agree and disagree with him – about rock ‘n roll, politics, religion, the usual stuff – but Pat Boone has lived a truly American story and an iconic one at that. Join us as he reflects on his lessons of life and 60 years in the entertainment industry.
