A special film screening
Out of over 22 million veterans living in America today, 30% suffer from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder – making up a fifth of the homeless population – and an estimated 18 commit suicide every day.
But they are some of our nation’s greatest resources. Over 3 million veterans run their own small businesses, while others commit to public service, as reflected by the 16 civic-minded veterans who were elected to Congress in 2012.
VETERAN NATION offers an overview of how our nation has treated its veterans from the American Revolution to the present, and explores the current and future challenges of helping those who have dedicated their lives to serving our country.
By telling the story of veterans fighting to heal the wounds of war while preparing for a lifetime of service, VETERAN NATION aims to inspire the American public to give back to the brave individuals who have pledged to give their all for us.
