Reform for the Elderly

Governor Kuroiwa will discuss Japan’s growing elderly population and the reforms required to meet this demographic pattern. Kanagawa Prefecture specifically has worked with both foreign and domestic companies to promote innovation and advancements in medical care for the elderly and instituted a mixture of the best Eastern and Western cultural and medical practices to address the needs of an aging population.

Yuji Kuroiwa was elected Governor of Kanagawa Prefecture in April 2011 following an award-winning broadcasting career with Fuji Television and serving as a university professor.
