14th Annual Conference of the American Veterans Center

On Friday, November 4, 2011, the American Veterans Center held the first day of their 14th Annual Conference at The Heritage Foundation. This annual, two-day conference brings together some of America’s most distinguished and decorated veterans and active duty service members to share their experiences with an audience of several hundred JROTC and ROTC students, cadets and midshipmen from West Point, the Naval Academy, and the Air Force Academy as well as fellow veterans.

Participants in recent years have ranged from the Doolittle Raiders and Medal of Honor recipients from World War II to General David Petraeus and young wounded warriors from today’s military. The conference is capped off with the Center’s Annual Awards Gala, honoring heroes from World War II, Korea, Vietnam, and Afghanistan & Iraq.

Four of the presentations from the first day’s program are featured below. To learn more about the American Veterans Center and the 14th Annual Conference, please visit www.americanveteranscenter.org.
